Today, we went out to Detering Orchards and picked 25 pounds of Lambert cherries. They are early this year, and the season is almost over.
We pitted about half of them and put them in the freezer. The rest are waiting to be pitted tomorrow. Messy work.
I made this galette, using the crust from Jacques Pepin’s Plum Galette recipe. This is a tiny one, one third of his crust recipe.
